Photographing Kermit's Pool in Karijini National Park was an adventure that transported me to a world of ancient beauty and hidden wonders. Karijini, with its rugged gorges and cascading waterfalls, was a place that had always beckoned to my adventurous spirit, and Kermit's Pool was a jewel hidden deep within its iron-rich, red rock formations.
The journey to reach Kermit's Pool was an experience in itself. Trekking through the red earth, navigating steep paths, and descending into the heart of the gorge, I felt like an explorer in search of a hidden treasure. The sound of rushing water grew louder as I approached the pool, and the anticipation of what lay ahead was palpable.
When I finally arrived at Kermit's Pool, I was greeted by a breathtaking sight. The pool, an oasis of crystal-clear water, was encircled by the towering rock walls of Hancock Gorge. The water was an inviting shade of emerald, and the reflections of the surrounding red rock created a surreal and mesmerizing scene.
With my camera equipment in hand, I approached the edge of the pool. The cool, clear water was a welcome respite from the desert heat. I marveled at the play of light and shadow on the rock walls and the vibrant hues of the water. Kermit's Pool was a natural masterpiece, a sanctuary hidden within the heart of Karijini.
Photographing Kermit's Pool was both a privilege and a challenge. The ever-changing lighting conditions within the gorge demanded precision and timing. The reflections on the water's surface and the intricate textures of the rock walls added depth and complexity to the photographs. Each click of the shutter aimed to capture the unique and serene beauty of this hidden gem.
As I framed my shots, I couldn't help but contemplate the ancient history of Karijini. The rock formations, shaped by millions of years of geological processes, seemed to hold the secrets of time itself. Kermit's Pool was a reminder of the enduring beauty of the natural world, waiting to be discovered and celebrated.

Great question! Here's what we recommend...
- CANVAS - On trend (we sell heaps) and great for most homes with lots of windows. Soaks up the reflection.
- ACRYLIC - On trend with its frameless look. Suits modern homes with big white walls. Highly reflective though.
- METAL - The shinny version of canvas. It's framed the same way but instead is very shinny and flat.
- FRAMED - Traditional look however we don't sell many framed prints these days.
- ROLLED - Perfect if you have your own framer however, remember framing is expensive!

WHITE BORDER
All Rolled Prints come with a white border. This allows you to have the print framed without having to pay for a mount board.
- 60 x 40cms prints typically have 5cms each side
- 100 x 75cms and larger have 7cms each side.

- 60 x 40cms - suits a study, hallway, or between doorways
- 100 x 75cms - suits walls above side boards and fireplaces, for example
- 150 x 100cms - suits walls above couches and beds, for example
- 150cms plus is best for large 300cms plus walls, like a living room.
