Hi thanks for dropping by. For the past 25 years I've been fortunate enough to follow my passion -Â fine art landscape photography.
Driven by my desire to showcase the beauty of the landscape, I spend many months of every year creating new photographs for upcoming limited and open edition prints and book projects.
I first fell in love with photography at the age of 13. I borrowed my dad's old Minolta XG-9 film camera to practice photographing birds. Since I was nine I enjoyed birdwatching and bird banding.Â

Â
My passion for photography continued through to university. But this time I had the sport bug. I was competing in triathlon for a bit of fun and soon found myself taking my camera to any events I wasn't competing in. Before long I was travelling across to Hawaii each year for the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon and selling my photos to local magazines.Â
Competing in the Australian Championships in Geelong 1995.
Â
I built up a sizeable portfolio of sports photographs - enough to catch the eye of Australia's leading sports photography agency, Sport the Library. I was soon hired as one of their staff photographers in October 1998. The company were the official photographers to the Australian Olympic Team. With Sydney 2000 just a few years away, I was constantly travelling around the country to cover the build up to the Olympics. I covered many of the test events a year before the Olympics. I was one of the first to see a prototype of the Olympic Torch. I photographed the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as well as many other events. I had the time of my life.

Â
But it was time to move on. In 2003 we started a family and my experience in photographing outdoors transferred well into photographing families in the local parks and at the local beaches. I built the business from the ground up. Initially from my family room, then converting the whole house into a business.
Initially photographing families, we then moved into photographing dogs. My business became known as the place to have your dogs photographed. We published charity books to help drive business and in 11 years we donated over $100,000 to various charities needy of support.
I eventually sold the business in 2014.

Â
But my passion has always been photographing the breathtaking Australian landscape. As a kid I loved looking through books on Australia's National Parks.
In 1997, I did my first serious landscape shoot, walking the Overland Track in Tasmania. Inspired by the likes of Ken Duncan and Peter Lik, I pursued my landscape photography at every opportunity. Borrowing then eventually buying my own panoramic film camera, I was obsessed with capturing the beauty of the Australia landscape in the best way possible. The large 6x17cms produced far superior prints to the 35mm counterpart.Â

Â
In 2009 I published my first landscape books on Cradle Mountain, The Milford Track and the Routeburn Tracks in New Zealand.
In 2018, I fulfilled my dream of having my own gallery, opening in Main Street, Mornington, Victoria.
For the past 25 years, I've had the privilege to call the Australian wilderness my office. For me, there’s nothing more exhilarating than being surrounded by this serenity. Whether it be standing on top of a mountain, or wandering along an ancient dry creek bed, my heart and soul always feels at home amongst these landscapes.Â
My drive is to showcase the immense beauty and variety of Australia by bringing his art into every home and office. In doing so, I hope to highlight the importance of protecting what we are so lucky to call our home ... and for my artwork to bring people together; to get them talking to one another, challenging their visual perceptions and levels of interpretation, on a deeper and more spiritual level.

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
I love teaching photography. I love sharing my knowledge with others. So I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to get out and about into these fantastic landscapes to teach my signature workshops.
Since 2005, I have passionately taught thousands of keen photographers like yourself the art of landscape photography. Each year I carefully hand-pick a select number of exotic locations to take participants.
