LORD HOWE ISLAND

I recently spent 12 incredible days on Lord Howe Island, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Every aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations, making it the perfect getaway. The island’s landscapes were nothing short of breathtaking. From the towering peaks of Mount Gower and Mount Lidgbird to the pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters, every view was a postcard-worthy scene. The lush rainforests and unique rock formations added to the island’s natural beauty, providing endless opportunities for exploration and photography.

The wildlife on Lord Howe Island was another highlight. I was amazed by the diversity of species, many of which are endemic to the island. Birdwatching was particularly rewarding, with the rare and majestic Lord Howe Woodhen and the Red-tailed Tropicbird being just a couple of the incredible sightings. The underwater world was equally spectacular. Snorkeling and diving in the island’s coral reefs revealed a vibrant ecosystem teeming with colorful fish, corals, and even turtles.

As a drone enthusiast, Lord Howe Island offered some of the best droning opportunities I’ve ever encountered. The aerial views of the island’s dramatic cliffs, serene lagoons, and dense forests were absolutely stunning. Capturing the island’s beauty from above allowed me to appreciate its unique geography and natural splendor in a whole new way.

The local community on Lord Howe Island made my stay even more special. The residents were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always eager to share their knowledge of the island and its history. Their hospitality made me feel right at home, and their passion for preserving the island’s natural environment was truly inspiring.

I can’t wait to go back to Lord Howe Island. It’s a place that offers so much more than just a vacation—it’s an immersive experience in one of the world’s most beautiful and unique destinations.
