The Southern Alps are indeed a breathtaking natural wonder, and witnessing
their grandeur from the air was a truly unforgettable experience. It's incredible
how these mountains seem to stretch endlessly, withstanding the harsh weather
that comes from the Southern Ocean.

I travelled for several days already through the South Island in winter and the
weather wasn't showing any sign of clearing. It had been raining one and off
since I arrived. Exploring the South Island of New Zealand during the winter
season can be challenging due to the unpredictable weather conditions.
However, a short break in the weather and some blue sky once I reached
Queenstown gave me a very short window to get up in the sky.

As I took off late in the day, I was worried that the sun was going to bet me to it.
However, through the skill of the pilot, I managed to capture the beauty of this
incredible landscape. Later I found out that my pilot had been the location pilot
for many of Hollywood's best films - Tom Cruise and the Mission Impossible
series, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. New Zealand is known for its stunning
natural scenery, which has been featured in many blockbuster movies, making it
a dream destination for both travellers and filmmakers alike!
