THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO

On this remarkable journey into the desert, I found myself amidst a landscape that defied the typical expectations of arid, sun-drenched terrain. Mother Nature had, in her capriciousness, unleashed heavy rain, transforming the desert into a lush sea of green. Every bush and shrub had burst into vibrant blooms, creating an unusual and captivating spectacle that stood in stark contrast to the usual aridity of the region.

My daily routine on this trip was simple: I would rise early in the morning and head out with my camera to capture the breathtaking transformation of the desert in the soft, golden light of dawn. The late afternoon held another spellbinding charm, as the setting sun bathed the landscape in warm, amber hues, revealing the intricate beauty of the desert's newfound greenery.

As I was gazing out towards the distant silhouette of Uluru, the iconic rock formation, I noticed an approaching storm on the horizon. The dark, brooding clouds cast an eerie contrast against the vibrant greens of the desert, and I knew I had a unique opportunity to capture a rare and powerful moment in nature.

At first, my instinct was to get closer to Uluru, hoping to incorporate the storm into my frame. WHICH FINISH?

Great question! Here's what we recommend...

CANVAS - On trend (we sell heaps) and great for most homes with lots of windows. Soaks up the reflection.
ACRYLIC - On trend with its frameless look. Suits modern homes with big white walls. Highly reflective though.
METAL - The shinny version of canvas. It's framed the same way but instead is very shinny and flat.
FRAMED - Traditional look however we don't sell many framed prints these days.
ROLLED - Perfect if you have your own framer however, remember framing is expensive!
