The Leopard

I had searched for Leopards all day in the Serengeti with an experienced guide, an adventure filled with anticipation and eventual reward. The Serengeti is renowned for its diverse wildlife, and spotting a leopard can be quite a thrilling and challenging endeavour.

Radio calls were coming through thick and fast that gave hope that we would soon find one. My guide was quietly relaying the messages to me in case things feel through. And they did - a few times. Finally, we tracked down this gorgeous boy. He sat there for a while, surveying the surrounds, looking for his evening meal. And then as the sun popped through the clouds, he crossed his paws, almost posing for me. It's as if nature itself conspired to provide me with the perfect photographic opportunity, capturing the essence of patience and perseverance in wildlife photography and allowing future generations to witness such breathtaking encounters.
