The Mist, Yellowstone NP
Light is the fundamental element in photography, and the way it interacts with the subject can significantly influence the mood and storytelling within an image. Contrast helps with creating impact and drawing interest to certain elements. As we drove along this road in Yellowstone, I decided to look behind me and noticed a lone tree alongside the river. I was drawn to the backlighting that separated it from the landscape. Photography often involves not only capturing the obvious subjects but also recognizing the subtler moments and details that can turn a simple scene into a compelling visual story.
