Snow - The Snow Landscapes of Australia - is my NEW hardcover coffee table book showcasing the stunning Snow Landscapes of Australia.
Presented across approx. 150 pages with over 100 colour images, I believe this book is a must for anyone who loves the snow and the Australian landscape.
Shot over a 10 year period, I've published this book to highlight the beauty of the Australian snow landscapes.
For a few months each year, the highest parts of this great land are transformed into a winter wonderland.
Many are blissfully unaware of how magical these landscapes truly are.
For the overseas visitors, they think of Australia as Bondi Beach or Uluru - most don't even realise that Australia gets snow. I wanted to illustrate that we have more to offer than desert and beaches.
My images feature many of the Alps wonderful landscapes, including:
Cradle Mountain, Tasmania - Mount Wellington, Tasmania - Mount Buller, Victoria - Mount Baw Baw, Victoria - Mount Hotham and Mount Feathertop, Victoria Mount Stirling, Victoria - Wallace's Hut, Victoria - Craig's Hut, Victoria - Mount Kosciusko and The Main Range, NSW - The Pilot Wilderness Area, NSW - Dead Horse Gap, NSW - Ramshead Range, NSW - Rawson Pass, NSW
- Over 100 colour images
- approx. 150 pages
- Large format coffee table pictorial book
- Landscape format 360mm wide x 250mm high

"How do you progress as a photographer? You can learn all about technique in school, work out Photoshop from Google, but you can only discover what's most important in photography - the art and aesthetics - from other artists whose work you admire. Tom Putt has established himself as one of Australia's leading landscape photographers and his latest book project, Snow, is a testament to cold nights in a tent and a sophisticated and refined approach to photographic composition and light. Tom is self-publishing this book and is looking for people to support him - well, I'm in, Tom!"
Peter Eastway, Publisher Better Photography Magazine, Grand Master of Photography, 1996 & 1998 Australian Photographer of the Year.
"SNOW is without a doubt the most substantial photographic body of work I have seen about the Australian alpine regions. Considering the many challenges of accessing this wild and untamed regions of Australia, this is a considerable feat. I look forward to my next visit to the high country, where I will relish in Tom's soul-stirring images whilst sitting next to a warm fire with a red wine in hand. Congratulations on this superb book."
David Evans, Curator EPSON International Pano Awards, 2015 Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year, South Australian Professional Photographer of the Year 2006 & 2009.
"Australia's alps make up a tiny fraction of the continent and stand at the front line against the ravages of climate change. This book, the first ever to encompass all of Australia's high country, celebrates dramatic landscapes, fantastic snow-gums and the paradoxically delicate forms of the frozen landscape. In a word - stunning!"
Rob Blakers, publisher Freycinet Book, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair book, and the Wild Forest book.
"Tom has been photographing Australian landscapes for decades. You only need to view the first pages of his new book to realise this is someone dedicated to his craft. He puts himself out there in the the search for the perfect image. For him it isn't just about the photography it is also the journey and a deep connection with the environment. This book is his reward and will forever be a record of our country in all its glory."
Christian Fletcher, 2014 International Landscape Photographer of The Year, 2011 AIPP Australian Professional Landscape Photographer of The Year.
