ENTRANCE WALL ART

Imagine walking through your front door after a hectic day at the office. As you open the door, you’re greeted with your favourite artwork - big bold and beautiful. You pause for a second, taking in the beauty of scene. It immediately has you forgot the day you’ve had, and transports you to another place. For the rest of the evening, your mood is upbeat after seeing that mood-changing art in the entrance.

It may seem a bit far-fetched, but art has the power to do that. Think about it - why do we hang art in the first place? It’s there to decorate, yes. But more than that, if we’re art collectors, we’re choosing our art based on the meaning it has for us, or the emotion it brings us each time we look at it.

For years we’ve hung family portraits on our walls to remind us of how our kids used to look. We hang landscapes on our walls to remind us of fond childhood memories. Other landscapes may be of places we’ve had incredibly memorable holidays. 

We may not have visited a location but still choose to hang it because it creates a positive emotion each time - warmth, joy, freedom.
