Featured on the cover of a Parks Victoria brochure many years ago, I remember being struck by the beauty of this landscape so close to Melbourne.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt has been on my wish list to create something similar for myself. However, on each visit to Point Nepean, I've often been disappointed with my images. Something was missing and I couldn't work out what it was.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ePhotographing for my latest book, I knew Point Nepean needed to feature. It's such an iconic landscape on the Mornington Peninsula. Making my way down there on a warm summer's evening, I could think of no better place to be. Despite the Peninsula being a haven for holiday makers and residents now, being alone in this landscape made me feel that I was miles from anywhere.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAs the sun went down, the warm sandstone colours of the coastline glowed. I knew this was the time to shoot. Being higher up meant that I had a brilliant perspective along the coast, seeing far off into the distance. To me this encapsulated this area - a rugged, wind-swept coastline battered by the waves as far as the eye could see.
