INTERNATIONAL FINE ART LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER

Faroe Islands Photography Workshop

Faroe Islands Photography Workshop

DATES:  MAY 2020

DRAMATIC SEA CLIFFS, PANORAMIC VISTAS, FISHING VILLAGES

In a remote part of the Norwegian Sea, north of Scotland, sits an archipelago of 18 islands known as the Faroes. With a population of just 50,000 people across 18 islands, this oasis is cold, wet and windy. But don't let this deter you from joining us on this unique adventure. Everyone I have spoken to about this place raves about it's remoteness and raw beauty that is a landscape photographers dream.

You'll spend a week here on this Faroe Islands Photography Workshop exploring the islands with me. Each day we'll do small day trips to the various landscape locations that the Faroes will soon be famous for - waterfalls plunging over sea cliffs; rocky rock stacks pounded by rough seas; pretty little churches sitting amongst ever-green fields.

YOUR ITINERARY

Day One

Arriving from Copenhagen, we'll be there to greet you at the airport on the Faroe Islands before taking you in our private vehicle to your private hotel room at Hotel.

From here you can relax or wander around the quaint town of Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe. This is where we will be basing our workshop for the next 7 nights.

We'll meet for a drink before a yummy dinner in house so you can get to know the other participants. An early night for those who wish before our workshop starts the following day.

Day Two - Seven

Each day we'll head out after breakfast for half and full day explorations of these amazing islands. Your itinerary will depend on the weather as we look to get to the right places at the right times. You'll be chauffeur driven around in luxury van as we search for amazing photographic opportunities.

Your expert leader and Master Photographer Tom Putt with his extensive research and experience on the islands will know all the best places for your photography. You'll visit the iconic Mulafossur Waterfall plunging off the sea cliffs directly into the ocean; the spectacular lighthouse of Kalsoy; the Saksun Church; the famous Fossa waterfall; you'll travel on ferry across to the island of Mykines to photograph the lighthouse and puffins that nest on the island, and so much more.

With six full days to explore these islands you'll see everything this amazing place has to offer.

Day Eight

Enjoy a well-earned sleep in before checking out. We'll drive you out to the airport to catch your flight home or for your future onward travels...
