BRINGING THE SPECTACULAR AUSTRALIAN LANDSCAPE INTO YOUR HOME

PINK LEP

Saltworks are proving to be a hot spot for aerial photography. A place called Hutt Lagoon in Western Australia is home to these amazing images. The pink hue is due to the presence of the carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene, a food-colouring agent and source of vitamin A. The lagoon contains the world's largest microalgae production plant.
